ONGOING MEDITATION
FOR AUTUMN AND WINTER 2002

This is a simplified form of the Inner Temple meditation undertaken by the New York group on the evening of September 10th 2002, and which will be continued through to September 24th after the Equinox. Thereafter there will be a break in working this meditation, and it will be started anew from November 2000. You may join in if you wish.

1 Be still, stilling Time, Space, Movement. Affirm the Directions of Above, Below, East, South, West, and North.

2 Light a central candle flame: if you are in group, sit or stand in a circle around the Flame.

3 Commune with the central spirit of Being, embodied by the living Flame

4 Direct your awareness to the West, where the Sea Temple opens out, and brings a tide of Love and Compassion flowing into the human world. Commune with this tide, and feel the presence of the inner priests and priestesses of the hidden Sea Temple.

5 Direct your awareness to the North, where the Temple of the Dark Goddess opens out, bringing forces of Destruction and Regeneration into the human world. Commune with these forces, and feel the presence of the inner priests and priestesses of the hidden Temple of the North.

6 Sense see and feel the powers of West and North merge together in the Center, bringing Wisdom and Understanding with the Flame of Illumination

7 Commune in Silence with the central Flame.

8 Offer up prayers for those who have died in the conflicts around the world during the time between Autumn 2001 and the present date. Offer up prayers for our world leaders that they may come into wisdom and understanding.

9 Sense see and feel the power flowing out to the Four Directions, East, South, West and North. You may turn and face outwards to empower this flow.

10 Be aware again of the Directions as Above, Below, Before you, Right, Left, and Behind you. Extinguish the flame, and be Still for a few moments. Return to your outer awareness.

(Use the same candle each time you repeat this Meditation)
