Separation - The lands are part of a greater pattern, the continents that arise above the seas. This is paradoxically, a mobile card, for the entire surface of the planet is moving and the continents are separating at a speed that we cannot easily perceive in our short lifetimes. The Gnome of the Eight of Earth has knowledge of the many movements that take place in the living body of the planet. In a reading, this card shows many separate interests or invested energies moving to a pattern that is not directly known to the subject. In a simpler sense it can also indicate diversification of interests. In the most direct sense this power generates Expansion and growth. Separation comes through expansion...room to move.
